Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular?
Wi-Fi model: iPad connects to the Internet through a high-speed Wi-Fi network, like the wireless Internet router in your home, or the wireless hotspots you find in a coffee shop or school library. There are Wi-Fi hotspots all over the world, and iPad finds them automatically.
Wi-Fi + Cellular model: iPad can also connect to the Internet using a fast cellular connection when Wi-Fi isn’t available. So you can stay connected on the train, at the park, or on a road trip. You can buy a Wi-Fi + Cellular model without a contract, and service is sold separately. See your carrier for rate plan information.
