1. Working with files and folders.

If you’re new to Mac OS X, check out our quick overview of the many ways to find applications, files and folders.

2. Burning CDs and DVDs.

Burning a CD or DVD couldn’t be easier. Insert the blank CD or DVD, drag and drop the files you’d like to burn onto the CD or DVD, and click the Burn button. That’s all there is to it. If you’d like to burn a disk image, read our step-by-step directions below.

3. Using Exposé.

Exposé gives you instant access to any open window with a single keystroke. Display all open windows as thumbnails, view windows of the current application, or hide all windows to quickly locate a file on your desktop.

4. Using Mac OS 9 applications.

If you need to use Mac OS 9 applications, you can do so in the Classic environment in Mac OS X. To use the Classic environment, you must have a Mac OS 9 System Folder installed on your computer, either on the same hard disk as Mac OS X, or on another disk or disk partition.
