Memories intelligently searches and curates your photos and videos to find trips, holidays, people, pets, and more, then presents them in beautiful collections. Memories also finds your best photos and videos and stitches them together into a Memory Movie — complete with theme music, titles, and cinematic transitions that you can edit and share.
The For You tab shows you great moments from your library, like family vacations and weddings, and uses face recognition to identify and suggest sharing photos with the people in them. And if the recipients are using iOS 12, they’ll be prompted to share their photos from the event with you, too.
Photos shows you photos of important events, people, places, and dates even before you begin typing in the search bar. It also identifies photos of things you’ve done in the past that may be relevant and important to you now. For instance, if you just went to a tennis match, it may suggest revisiting old photos from a sporting event you went to years ago.
Intelligent face recognition and location identification makes it easy to find the exact photos you’re looking for, based on who you were with or where you were when you took them. You can even search for general categories, like “Japanese restaurant,” or get more specific, like “Aspen Ideas Festival.”
Using advanced machine learning, scene and object recognition lets you search your photos for things like motorcycles, trees, or apples. You can even combine keywords, like “boat” and “beach,” to find the exact photo you have in mind.
With Live Photo effects, you can turn your photos into playful videos or striking scenes. Choose your own images or let Photos suggest which ones would look great as loops, in reverse, or with a long exposure.
Photos comes packed with beautiful filters and a variety of built-in editing features to make your shots exactly how you want them. If you don’t like the results, you can always revert to the originals. You can also use third-party photo editing tools like Camera+ and Pixelmator without leaving the Photos app.
You can now import and edit RAW images right from Photos on iPhone or iPad models with an A9 chip or later.
With iCloud Photos, you have the freedom to access every photo and video in your library — from any device, anytime you want.
