Your film and video collection appears as poster art. Just swipe through them and tap what you want to play. You can browse chapters, pause and stop. If you take a break, iPhone remembers where you left off.

Share what’s on your iPhone with everyone in the room. With AirPlay, the film or video on your iPhone streams to your HDTV via Apple TV over the same Wi-Fi network.2 AirPlay Video Mirroring is another way to share. It turns your HDTV into a bigger version of your iPhone — so what’s playing on your iPhone is also playing on the big screen. You can stream films, web videos and more. Mirroring also works via Apple TV. And if you don’t have an Apple TV or access to Wi-Fi, just connect your iPhone to your HDTV with the Digital AV Adapter or VGA Adapter (sold separately).

Once you download a TV programme from iTunes, you always have access to it, no matter which device you’re using. Say you bought the latest series of your favourite drama on your computer but wish you had it on your iPhone for a long flight. You can view your purchase history in the iTunes app and tap to download the episodes you want straight to your iPhone via Wi-Fi.3

Automatic downloads and downloading previous purchases require iOS 4.3.3 or later on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation), or iPad; iOS 5 on iPhone 4 (CDMA model); or a Mac or PC with iTunes 10.3.1 or later. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore. Downloading previous movie purchases requires iTunes 10.6, iOS 5 or later, or Apple TV software 4.3 or later. Not all previously purchased movies are available for downloading to your other devices.
