“iPad has revolutionised my approach. It’s awakened a passion within me for learning that I never had before.”
Suresh is a dual major in science and business whose iPad helped change his approach to learning. Find out how he incorporates curiosity and creativity into his process.
Samuel Suresh creates his own study guides with GoodNotes 5 on his iPad.

Studying Science and Business,
Western Sydney University, class of 2022
“iPad puts me in control of my learning. It helps me discover that learning isn’t just a fixed process. It is malleable and adaptable — a reflection of the way my mind is thinking.”
While you may not be able to tell by looking at his notes and study guides, Samuel Suresh used to hate studying. But once he began to infuse curiosity and creativity into his process, Suresh discovered that iPad was the perfect tool to help him evolve from simply studying to truly learning.
“iPad allows you to try things you’ve never done before, to make mistakes and magically rectify them with the tap of a finger. That changes everything!”
The versatility of iPad supports Suresh’s varied learning style. He multitasks across apps with Split View, uses Apple Pencil to create notes with detailed diagrams and relies on apps like GoodNotes 5 to bring it all together in beautiful personalised study guides that help crystallise what he’s learning.
“iPad empowers you to own your learning. To take the knowledge you’re studying — whether it be from textbooks, videos, lectures — and make it your own. It’s made me fall in love with the process of breaking down what I’m learning and building it up again in the visual notes I create.”
Suresh believes iPad helps him embrace curiosity and creativity in his learning process, taking control of his education and breaking free from linear textbooks and classroom walls.
“Curiosity is a chaotic, erratic process that goes all over the place. It doesn’t fit the traditional classroom. To students who are curious but feel limited by the process of ‘studying’, iPad unlocks their minds to a process where they can truly learn and express their creativity.”

“My Mac is at the centre of everything I do with music, both inside and outside of school.”
An aspiring singer and songwriter, Thomas uses pro apps like Logic Pro to make studio-quality music. Find out how he’s adapted to remote learning with MacBook Pro.
A sneak peek at Max Thomas’ new song Where I’m headed in Logic Pro.

Studying Music Performance,
Berklee College of Music, class of 2022
“My Mac is my portable studio. It’s powerful and easy to use, and it helps me bring my music to life.”
Max Thomas has had a passion for music for as long as he can remember, picking up the guitar when he was just 10 years old. Now a junior at Berklee College of Music, he’s studying to turn that passion into a career as a professional recording artist.
“I love performing live. It’s such a rush to be the focal point for all these people and to share this connection with everyone.”
As a singer and songwriter, Thomas says inspiration can come anytime, and he needs to be ready. He uses Voice Memos on iPhone to capture song ideas in the moment, then picks them up on Mac to bring them to life in different arrangements.
Like many students, Thomas has had to adjust to remote learning. More than ever, his MacBook Pro has become his lifeline. With professional production software like Logic Pro, MacBook Pro is the perfect companion and all he needs to transform his bedroom into a recording studio.
“Mac and Logic Pro are the music industry tools that all the pros use. They marry my music-making with creativity, helping me to make a career of it — and that’s a magical thing.”
Control Logic Pro on Mac. With Logic Remote on iPhone.
Mac and iPad come with all the apps you need to start creating. And whenever you’re ready to produce professional films and music, step up to pro apps on Mac like Final Cut Pro or Logic Pro.
Turn ideas into apps with Swift.
Swift is a coding language that’s easy to learn and used by developers everywhere. And no matter your level, Apple has resources to help you advance your coding skills.
“Swift is my medium for social change.”
Ongele is a formidable student and activist. Her first iOS app, ReDawn, helps sexual assault survivors seek help. Find out how she uses app development for positive change in the world.
Sofia Ongele’s ReDawn iOS app helps people who have experienced sexual assault access resources.

“The world runs on technology. And the more we harness these technologies for good, the better our world will be.”
Sofia Ongele has seen first-hand the power of iOS app development as a medium for social change.
After one of her friends was sexually assaulted during her first year at university, Ongele created an iOS app called ReDawn to help survivors access resources in a safe, easy and sensitive way.
“I wanted to create something that makes the process less isolating”, says Ongele, who has been approached by organisations that want to partner with her on the app. But the most important feedback she has received came from the friend who was assaulted: “She thinks it has the potential to impact people, and that’s what matters most to me.”
Ongele is passionate about developing iOS apps because it allows her to make dynamic, helpful experiences — and she prefers coding in Swift more than any other language.
“Swift is a lot like English, except you can turn words into literally anything you want. I want to reach as many people as possible, and Swift lets me do that.”
Ongele wants to continue using computer science for positive change in the world and is already working on her next project.
“It’s aimed at younger people who want to create change but may not have a lot of time or resources”, says Ongele about her new app, which streamlines digital civic engagement for the next generation of world changers.
“At the end of the day, I really want to be a developer for good.”
