I express my values through the work I do — and how I show up for others.
Chris, Senior Manager, Supply Demand Management
Chris joined Apple over a decade ago, as the Supply Demand Management (SDM) team formed in Shanghai. “Our main focus is forecasting customer demand and managing supply. We make sure our teams have everything they need to build hundreds of millions of Apple products for people around the world.” Now a senior manager, she oversees an expanded scope. “We started with Mac, and now cover iPad and Apple Watch, too. I’m also leading another team that’s developing new systems and software tools to boost efficiencies across our group.”
I knew I had a lot to learn, and now I feel like I have so much to contribute.
Jason, Global Sourcing and Supply Manager, Operations and Supply Chain
After Jason finished his graduate studies in New York City, a role on Apple’s supply chain team in Shanghai seemed like the perfect opportunity. Born and raised in China, and now with years of experience in the United States, Jason could see how his background and his university degrees would be a great fit for Apple in China. He was right — though it wasn’t obvious to him at first.
I feel lucky — and behind that luck is a lot of hard work and so many inspiring people.
Ella, Senior Manager, Device Program Management
Years before she started at Apple, Ella had a peek into her future. “I was interning at one of Apple’s suppliers, working with folks on Apple’s hardware team. I was really impressed by their level of expertise and their attention to detail. It was so influential for me, especially as a student. Ever since, I wanted to work at Apple.”
The more I listen to others, the more ideas I have to share.
Ken, Software Engineering Manager, Core OS
After nearly a decade with Apple in Shanghai, Ken praises his team’s wide range of perspectives as the key to their success. And he defines success as the satisfaction they get from building software that enhances the way people talk, work, share, and play.
I came here for a new kind of career experience, and I found a new kind of life experience, too.
Georgia, Cross-Functional Producer, Apple Media Products
A few years ago, Georgia took a vacation that served as the catalyst for the latest phase of her career. “I had started as an Apple intern in London, and then after I joined full-time there, I went to China on holiday, just for fun. I had the most incredible time — I absolutely loved it.”
Here in Shanghai, we all come together to fulfill our mission: Deliver the best products in the world and leave the world a better place.
This is Apple Shanghai.
With a wide assortment of amenities, this location continues to inspire — offering ways for everyone to feel connected and thrive.
Among the many people working at Apple across China are several thousand making a difference at our Shanghai campus. Our growth in this city allows teams here to create hardware and software in collaboration with Apple teams around the world.
There are options for everyone, whether you’re an enthusiast or just getting started. You’ll find group classes and spaces dedicated to cardio, stretching, and free weights.
Diversity Network Associations (DNAs) are volunteer-led groups rooted in the celebration of global communities across Apple. They help foster a sense of belonging through respectful and inclusive engagements for all team members.
Learn about Apple DNAs
There are doctors, dentists, physiotherapists, and other health-related professionals and services on campus, making it easier to access resources and prioritize your well-being.
Our centrally located campus is surrounded by beautiful gardens, walking paths, and an abundance of trees, mirroring the city’s own lush parks. Nearby metro stations allow access to the rest of Shanghai, known for its multicultural atmosphere.
There are plenty of food options within reach. Caffè Macs — located onsite and open throughout the day — serves an array of menu items to accommodate a variety of tastes. Dozens of independently owned restaurants and shops can be found within walking distance, too.
Like every Apple corporate facility worldwide, our Shanghai campus is carbon neutral and powered by 100Â percent renewable energy.
