(2) Coverage is available only for the device, its original included accessories, or for the original battery that retains less than 80% of its original capacity. Coverage does not include theft or loss of your device.

(3) Accidental Damage means physical damage, breakage, or failure due to unforeseen and unintentional handling or due to external events. AppleCare+ will not provide accidental damage protection for accessories not included in the original packaging or third-party accessories used with the Covered Equipment, including, but not limited to, prescribed or other corrective lenses. Each incident is subject to a service fee of HK$229 for Damage to Included Accessories and HK$2299 for Other Accidental Damage. Replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may contain new or previously used genuine Apple parts that have been tested and pass Apple functional requirements. (4) Availability and capability of each option depends on the country in which service is requested, subject to local law. You are responsible for backing up all software programs, data, and passwords residing on your original device.

AppleCare+ benefits are separate from and in addition to the Apple Limited Warranty and any legal rights provided by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. AppleCare+ is subject to acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. Purchase of the plan is not required to purchase the device.

In Hong Kong, Apple Asia Limited (“Apple”) is the obligor in relation to all obligations under this Plan apart from the Accidental Damage from Handling coverage. For the Accidental Damage from Handling coverage, AIG Insurance Hong Kong Limited (AIG HK) is the insurer under this Plan pursuant to a master agreement between Apple and AIG HK, under which such coverage is included as part of the Plan. Apple purchases this coverage from AIG HK as counterparty to the master agreement.
