If I use an original USB-C to Lightning cable it won't work, but if I use an old (original) USB -A to Lightning cable it works just fine (even if the cable itself is very used and should be replaced). Bought a new ipad mini (6th gen) today to replace my old one (cracked screen & outdated). I use a PC and went to connect the ipad and the cord appears to be useless.
