The Belkin adapter was able to convert the HDMI signal to 4K, but it was capped at 30hz (so screen movements looked choppy). I tried everything I could (adjusting display resolutions, using SwitchResX, different Thunderbolt ports, etc...), but I was unable to get anything higher than 30hz. The adapter also felt warm to the touch when in use. TL;DR - Macbook Pro Retina -> Samsung 4K TV - 4K works, but 30hz only - Can't go higher than 30hz - Adapter felt warm/hot when in use

      4K at 30Hz only

This d I just purchased this cable, but unfortunately I'll be returning it. I was hoping to get HDMI2.0 3840x2160 @ 60Hz since it's converting from displayPort. This doesn't seem to be the case though. I max out at 30Hz (and I have the latest 1TB Macbook Pro 15" - as of May 2016).

Only due to the fact that when we got the product it worked fine, picture & sound perfect, but then by a year the picture would stop showing on & off & the sound wold on & off static. We got told we would not be able to exchange the product a third time.

Sound wouldn’t come through the tv, it would freeze, restart my computer, the image would flicker or not be the correct ratio. But it worked reliably enough for me to hang onto it for 5 years. Ultimately it wouldn’t work unless I was holding it at a certain angle in the port, and the screen was pixelating terribly. I went on amazon, found one from amazon’s brand, “amazon basics” for $10. I’ve used it for a couple months now and have had not one issue with the image or quality. I would recommend the amazon brand over the belkin one for price and quality any day.

I bought a new HP Flatscreen Monitor with 1080p HD and connected it through the Belkin Adapter and I couldn't be happier. I as do some gaming on here and I haven't had any of the issues others are talking about with screen bleeding, jumping etc. It works flawlessly. Just plug it in and close the MacBook and bam, perfect imaging. I had read the reviews on the Moshi Adapter and decided to go with this one and I am glad I did.
