All iPad Pro models, iPad (6th generation), iPad (5th generation), iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and iPad mini 3 models with Wi-Fi + Cellular can use either the Apple SIM card or a carrier-supported nano-SIM card. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation), 10.5-inch iPad Pro and 9.7-inch iPad Pro include an embedded Apple SIM card. iPad Air, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini models with Wi-Fi + Cellular use the nano-SIM card.
It’s our trade-in and recycling programme that’s good for you and the planet. If your current iPad is eligible for trade-in credit, you can offset the purchase price of a new one.** If it’s not eligible for credit, you can recycle it for free.
Just answer a few questions online or in an Apple Store regarding the condition of your iPad. We’ll provide either an estimated trade-in value or a simple way to recycle it if it’s not eligible for credit.
If you’re trading in online, we’ll calculate your estimated trade-in value during the purchase of your new iPad. We’ll then send you a trade-in kit (at no cost to you) so you can send us your device. Once we’ve received your trade-in device, a team will inspect it and verify its condition. If the condition matches what you’ve described, we’ll credit the trade-in value to your purchase. If it doesn’t match, we’ll notify you of the revised value and confirm that you still want to move forwards with the trade-in.
If you accept the trade-in estimate in the store, we’ll give you instant credit towards a purchase.
And if you choose to recycle your device, we’ll either handle it in the store or provide a prepaid shipping label so you can send your device to our accredited recycling partner.
If you’re trading in online, it generally takes 2-3 weeks. But the sooner you send us your device, the sooner we can verify its condition and apply the trade-in credit to your order. If you’re trading in at an Apple Store, you’ll receive either instant credit toward your next purchase or an Apple Store Gift Card you can use anytime.
Recycling a device is much faster. When we email you a prepaid shipping label, just send your device to our recycling partner.
