Acceptable Forms of ID

Scenario One:

Your current address or the address on file with your existing carrier appears on your primary ID.

Choose One Primary ID

  • Valid ID issued in Canada by a Canadian Government Agency which includes a photo ID

Choose One Secondary ID

  • Canadian Credit Card with your name printed on it. Gift cards and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of ID
  • Passport
  • SIN card
  • Provincial ID or Age of Majority Card
  • Citizenship Card
  • Native Status Card
  • Senior Citizens Card
  • Armed Forces ID
  • University Student ID
  • Utility bill from the last 90 days with the same name and address as your primary ID

Scenario Two:

Your current address does not appear on your primary ID or does not match what your carrier has on file.

Choose One Primary ID

  • Driver's licence
  • Passport

Choose One Secondary ID

  • Utility bill from the last 90 days with the same name and address as your primary ID
