I will say it makes the most sense to use this on wall switches that control 2 or more lights that you would want to dim. I use all LED and they work great on this system. Siri control is great from my Apple watch or iPhone. Now to add to the functionality you can use the app geofencing and or connect to Nest to activate or turn off lights based upon your arriving/departing from your home. If you want more options use If This Then That (IFTTT) app to have your motion detection of your security camera (e.g.: Arlo) to turn on certain or random lights to look like your still home. I know people who have used insteon and similar products with tech like z-wave who did not experience the same reliability and ease of set up as this Lutron system. Highly recommend. Switches are not cheap but you can add as your budget allows.

It was also my first installation compatible with HomeKit. Simply worked! No problems, and much simpler to set up than my early-generation Z-Wave switches. One word of warning if you don't already have dimmer or timer switches: it can take a bit of patience to fit a bank of automated switches along with the usual wiring and wire nuts into a tight wall box - but it's worth the effort.

I live in an older home and have been trying to set up home automation with various different products (X10 - Insteon, etc pre-Home Kit), but no neutral wires, etc... This product does not need neutral wires, so I was very hopeful. Installation was a snap - setting up the bridge was easy and painless, swapping out the old light switches for the Lutron Caseta switches done - easy. Time to turn on the lights - the lights flash on and off - no amount of tweaking or messing with the low end and high end trim fixes it. When the lights are turned on from the switch or from the app - the lights just cycle on and off. Oh - the light bulbs aren't approved - not a problem - out to the store to search for and install approved light bulbs -Try again. (more disappointment) same thing - with approved light bulbs the lights just cycle on and off repeatedly when I turn the light on - from both the switch and from the app. Lots of promise and high hopes - remote control of the lights from the iphone/ipad was achieved, but I could not get the lights to turn on and stay on - they just flash on and off all the time when i turn the lights on. Disappointed, I uninstalled and returned the item.
