      Worthless Product, Doesn't Work

Would give 0 stars if I could. While it was frustrating enough to purchase similar, cheaper products that weren't Apple approved and have them not work properly Would give 0 stars if I could. While it was frustrating enough to purchase similar, cheaper products that weren't Apple approved and have them not work properly or break easily, it was truly infuriating to spend $35 on this product in Apple's own store and have it NOT WORK STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. How is it possible that they've designed a phone that's not actually practical to use as a phone?! I use my phone to make a lot of conference and work related calls throughout the day so it dies all the time because I have to choose between using headphones or charging. It's ridiculous that I can't charge my phone and use headphones at the same time (unless I buy wireless headphones which drain battery faster than the old audio jack headphones). Or heaven forbid you travel and are frequently on a plane ride over two hours because you'll have to choose between using headphones for in-flight entertainment or charging your phone. And no, I don't think I should have to blow $350 to buy new wireless noise-cancelling headphones when I already have a great Bose set just because the one I have requires an audio jack in the phone. Apple, if you're going to make stupid changes to all your new phones, the very least you could do is make your overpriced accessories (that are now necessary to make the phone function for everyday use) in such a way that they actually work. Because all I accomplished with this purchase was a long return process to waste my time.

      Dissapointing

I've been through 4 of these in a year. The charger constantly goes out. For $40, I feel like it should definitely work for longer than a couple of months. Unfortunately this is the only option available so I just have to keep buying them

I tried with multiple headphones to see if they were the problem and not the adapter but it is 100% the adapter. I will be taking this back.

It's true--lasts only a couple of months before dying

I saw the complaints about this stopping working after a little while and I chalked it up to complaining and whining. However, they're telling the truth. Bought I saw the complaints about this stopping working after a little while and I chalked it up to complaining and whining. However, they're telling the truth. Bought this a couple of months ago. I park in a heated garage so it was OK, but I noticed that if my car is outside in the cold for a while, it wouldn't work until I warmed it up. Now on Saturday, I guess the cold broke it because it's dead. Even warmed up it won't work. So, like everybody else complaining, I have to shell out another $40. This is nuts. I'm going to make sure I don't leave it in the cold anymore.

      Don’t buy it!

This product doesn’t work and neither does any product on the market right now. I can’t believe Apple did this and is so irresponsible and responding to getting This product doesn’t work and neither does any product on the market right now. I can’t believe Apple did this and is so irresponsible and responding to getting a working product to its customers. All the hundreds and hundreds of dollars spent on headsets and now I can only listen with a specific one. I have a $350 pair of Boes that I can’t use. Apple makes these changes and expects the market to keep up with whatever they do and sometimes it takes years before that happens all the while the customer is the one who suffers. Get with it Apple, get your customers a product that allows them to charge their phone and listen to their heads sets at the same time!
