      Underwhelming

      Fast charges, breaks easily

      I have had my new MacBook Pro for less than two months and have had to replace this cable twice already! The cord bends and snaps so easily.       Doesn't fit snugly into power brick, so loses connection to brick

      This was a replacement for the cable that connects power brick to laptop. When plugging it into the power brick, it has to be aligned perfectly or the computer This was a replacement for the cable that connects power brick to laptop. When plugging it into the power brick, it has to be aligned perfectly or the computer will not charge. Placing the brick on the floor after plugging it in runs the risk of dislodging the cable. It's that sensitive, though the original cable that came with the laptop was not.

      Apple's "It just works" mentality died a long time ago. This cable is a piece of junk.

      Should not be marketed for data transfer

      The item name is "charge cable" but the description says its good for data transfer. While it technically does transfer data, it does so at a top speed of only The item name is "charge cable" but the description says its good for data transfer. While it technically does transfer data, it does so at a top speed of only about 30 MB/sec. It actually makes my external SSD slower than a spinning disk. The external SSD should be about 500 MB/sec (and is that speed with a different cable)!
