There are two SIM options for connecting your WiFi + Cellular iPad model to a data plan: a physical SIM card or eSIM technology.* (Note: Wi-Fi iPad models cannot connect to mobile networks.)
Physical SIM card: All Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad models have a physical nano-SIM tray that will hold a network provider nano-SIM card (also called 4FF SIM card). Your iPad may have a network provider SIM card already installed if you purchased it from a provider. If not, you can contact your network provider to obtain an appropriate card for your iPad. Some iPad models also support an Apple SIM card. For more information, go to https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203089.
eSIM technology: Newer Wifi + Cellular iPad models include built-in eSIM technology that essentially acts as a digital SIM card. There are a few ways to activate an eSIM on your iPad, including downloading it on the iPad itself, scanning a QR code or using an app from a network provider. With eSIM, you can choose data plans from selected providers in the UK and in more than 180 countries and regions around the world. For more information on setting up eSIM, go to https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203089.

It’s our trade-in and recycling program that’s good for you and the planet. If your current iPad is eligible for trade-in credit, you can offset the purchase price of a new one.* If it’s not eligible for credit, you can recycle it for free.
Your estimated trade-in credit will be applied to the payment method used to purchase your new iPad once we confirm the condition of your trade-in device. If the trade-in value exceeds your purchase total, we’ll refund the difference on an Apple Store Gift Card. And if your device is not eligible for credit, we can recycle it for free or return it to you.
Taxes will be charged based on the full price of your new device. Your trade-in value will be credited to your original payment method once your old device has been received and inspected.
When getting your old device ready to send in, please refer to instructions for how to turn off Find My on your device. The team inspecting your device must be able to turn it on and remove the passcode. Once your device has been inspected, the trade-in value is verified and we can finalize your refund.
