No, when the Apple Pencil 1st gen came out, it was intended for the Pro series until in 2018 when Ap No, when the Apple Pencil 1st gen came out, it was intended for the Pro series until in 2018 when Apple announced iPad 6. iPad 6 is the only one in the Original iPad line as of right now that supports the Apple Pencil.

None of them, 1st Gen Apple Pencil only works on iPad Air 3.

Using the Widgets that come from the left side of the screen. Go to the bottom to see EDIT. Inside Using the Widgets that come from the left side of the screen. Go to the bottom to see EDIT. Inside EDIT look to MORE WIDGETS. Then select BATTERIES. Then go back the main screen to see the iPad and Apple Pencil battery levels.
