Overview

Plug the USB-C end of the adapter into the USB-C port on your MacBook, and then connect your flash drive, camera, or other standard USB device. You can also connect a USB cable to sync and charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

Works great.

It works fine and I like how the port is nice and tight. I see a lot of adapters and the hubs on the market with cheap ports. Since the cable to flexible, I can It works fine and I like how the port is nice and tight. I see a lot of adapters and the hubs on the market with cheap ports. Since the cable to flexible, I can hang a flash drive off the end and not worry about it disconnecting or falling out. Too bad you lose the only USB port on the computer, but I knew of this limitation when I bought the computer. Works great.

Basic connections

This seems to work on all the device I have tried from Full Speed to Super Speed, Audio, Hard drives etc...

Seems to work fine for USB keys and other USB peripherals. But not so much for sustained data transfer to a hard drive. The external drive intermittently unmoun Seems to work fine for USB keys and other USB peripherals. But not so much for sustained data transfer to a hard drive. The external drive intermittently unmounts from the desktop. A lot of trouble shooting and buying of new cables led me to this insight. I have two of of these cables and they both have this intermittent failure. The Apple hub cable with the HDMI and power connections seems to work fine however. Very frustrating.

Having problem with Flash Drive 3.0

Unfortunately doesn't work with USB 3.0....but work very well with USB 2.0.....and this is very strange

Does the job!

I've been using my adapter since the day after my computer arrived at the end of April, 2015. The adapter fits snugly into the USB-C port in the computer, a I've been using my adapter since the day after my computer arrived at the end of April, 2015. The adapter fits snugly into the USB-C port in the computer, and USB cables fit very tightly into the USB end of the adapter. My 4TB portable drive mounts in under two seconds when I plug it in to the MacBook with this adapter. My iPhone mounts quickly, too. Obviously, I couldn't connect either device, nor anything else that uses a USB connector, without it, so it's pretty much an essential tool. I'm afraid of losing it, in fact, so I have a backup tucked away, "just in case." I can't comment on the longevity of the adapter, however, as I've only had it three months so far. No signs of failure yet, though!
