Works, but make sure you get Apple's 29W USB-C charger

The cable achieves 29W charging at 14.5V / 2A. In my testing, I discharged my IPP to 10% and connected the cable. In 2.5 hours, it reached 100% charge! This is extremely fast, and exactly what you need if you often use your IPP to do long stretches of work or media consumption.

The USB-C to lightning will serve them well. It's a durable cable and is compact so it can easily be thrown into a messenger bag or organisation case for your laptop enabling iPhone to Macbook connection should you desire to do so. Excellent product works as advertised and has survived many flights where as many fliers will agree that even those who care greatly for their products and maintain them cannot always escape the rigours of cargo handling or the hustle and bustle of the frequent flyer. Won't be necessary for many people but for times when wireless isn't available, piggy back charging is needed, or simply the convenience and speed of a cable is needed this product will do the job well for Macbook owners.

And if they do happen to last longer than a month or two they physically fall apart by splitting near the connection. Save yourself time and money by searching the internet for a better aftermarket option. Or do like i did and switch to a Samsung.

      Not a good cable

I brought this cable less than 6 months ago and now it's not working. The one before that, I went to the Apple Store and brought one. The original one that came with my phone stopped working on the anniversary of me having my phone. I guess I'll have to go buy one from the dollar store and see if it works better than the apple product.

      Thick and bulky

Feels like this cable is about 3x as thick/heavy as the old iPhone charging cable. Less flexible too.
