The cable achieves 29W charging at 14.5V / 2A. In my testing, I discharged my IPP to 10% and connected the cable. In 2.5 hours, it reached 100% charge! This is extremely fast, and exactly what you need if you often use your IPP to do long stretches of work or media consumption.

A convenience product for wired synchronisation

The USB-C to lightning will serve them well. It's a durable cable and is compact so it can easily be thrown into a messenger bag or organisation case for your laptop enabling iPhone to Macbook connection should you desire to do so. Excellent product works as advertised and has survived many flights where as many fliers will agree that even those who care greatly for their products and maintain them cannot always escape the rigours of cargo handling or the hustle and bustle of the frequent flyer. Won't be necessary for many people but for times when wireless isn't available, piggy back charging is needed, or simply the convenience and speed of a cable is needed this product will do the job well for Macbook owners.

There is some problem with iPad Pro.

Simple enough the This is my very first expectation when iPad Pro first launch that I believed the giant iPad should be using type C technique to charge faster. Simple enough the 12W old charger cannot substain the power while pro being used. So the USB C to lightning cable is a must. But it won't from the first out of pro. And now this cable is out. Can this be faster? You read other review here saying it's not charging faster that I believe either the USB C has some problem to detect the faster charger (or failure to detect) or Apple have not yet update the firmware to allow the fast charger before they claim this cable can. But what my problem is my mac book 29W charger with the new lightning cable can only charge up my Pro 12.9 to 95% max. Even I left it charge over night. Charging my 6s plus or pro 9.7 are all fine. What happen, Apple ?
