Apple's iPod Available in Stores Tomorrow
CUPERTINO, California — November 9, 2001 — Apple® today announced that iPod™, its breakthrough MP3 music player, is now shipping and will be available in stores tomorrow. iPod packs up to 1,000 CD-quality songs into an ultra-portable, 6.5 ounce design that is small enough to fit in your pocket.
"iPod is going to change the way people listen to music," said Philip Schiller, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "With its breakthrough design and ease of use, iPod may be one of the hottest gifts for every Mac user this holiday season."

iPod will be available beginning tomorrow, Saturday, November 10, for a suggested retail price of $399 (US) through The Apple Store® (www.apple.com), Apple's retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers. An iTunes™ 2 CD, earbud-style headphones, FireWire® cable and FireWire-based power adapter are all included. iPod™ requires Mac® OS X version 10.1 or Mac OS 9.2 and iTunes 2.
