Program

The Impact Accelerator is a capacity-building program that expands access to opportunity for Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and Indigenous environmental solution and service providers.

The Impact Accelerator is part of Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, working to combat systemic barriers for underrepresented communities. The program helps participants reach their next stage of development and scale their impact on solving challenges in the environmental sector, including renewable energy, carbon removal, recycling innovation, and smarter chemistry.

The program includes:

  • 12-week virtual programming
  • One-to-one mentorship and access to Apple environmental experts
  • Targeted training
  • Executive skills and development

Customized training and coaching provide organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed within Apple’s supply chain and beyond.

Access to Apple Experts

Direct access to Apple experts helps participants identify strategic partnership opportunities that align their business priorities with Apple’s environmental goals.

Ongoing

Support

Executive training and one‑to‑one mentorship help support leaders as they position their companies for growth.

Alumni Network

After completing the program, companies are invited to join our Supplier Success community. Alumni receive ongoing professional growth opportunities, including access to Apple experts, invitations to private networking events, and connections with previous program participants.

Impact Accelerator Class of 2021

Eligibility

The Impact Accelerator is designed for companies that are:

  • Headquartered in the United States
  • In the environmental sector
  • At least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by an African American, Hispanic/Latinx American, or Indigenous American individual
  • Late-stage start-ups or mature businesses

Preference will be given to companies with innovative environmental solutions, applications, or processes that:

  • Are in late-stage development or have reached commercial-scale deployment
  • Can contribute to one or more of Apple’s environmental priority areas: climate change, resources, and smarter chemistry
  • Align with Apple’s goal to be carbon neutral across its supply chain and product footprint by 2030
