Last night at Regal Union Square, Apple TV+ celebrated the world premiere of its highly anticipated sci-fi comedic thriller “Murderbot.” Created by Academy Award nominees Chris and Paul Weitz, the 10-episode series stars Emmy Award winner Alexander Skarsgård, who also serves as executive producer. “Murderbot” will premiere on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, May 16, followed by new episodes every Friday through July 11, 2025.

Attendees at the “Murderbot” red carpet premiere included Alexander Skarsgård, creators and showrunners Chris and Paul Weitz, and series stars Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski.

Based on Martha Wells’ bestselling Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book series “The Murderbot Diaries,” “Murderbot” is a sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients.
