      NOT COMPATIBLE WITH APPLE HEALTHKIT!

Like many others, I purchased this because it was advertised as compatible with Apple's HealthKit and Health app. And, like many others one of the first things Like many others, I purchased this because it was advertised as compatible with Apple's HealthKit and Health app. And, like many others one of the first things I did was to enable "integrate with Apple Health" in this app's settings. Which, it turns out, is why like many others (see iOS AppStore Reviews!), the app did little more than lock-up each time it tried to communicate with Apple's Health app. Folks, this may be a fine device, but without the ability to combine its results in one place along with data from multiple other sources, it's just a BP cuff and overpriced at that. They are very impressed with their own app, but just don't get it when it comes to Apple's HealthKit. So unless and until they figure this out, DON'T BUY ANYTHING WITH THE QARDIO BRAND. There are better and less expensive alternatives if you don't care about HealthKit.

I am an expert iOS/Mac user. It took me over an hour to get the device connected. I was able to get a few readings over a couple of days with significant difficulty. Then, the software froze every time despite iPhone restarts, software restarts, bluetooth showing connection, etc. Seems like it is trying to call home and the companies server is not responding so the device cannot be used. Something like this should use a network connection only for bonus features. Basic features should not require responses from the network. I am afraid this going back.

      I like it

Inauspiciously, the first unit I received (18 months ago) didn't work. Qardio sent a replacement, which has worked without a problem. My opinion: this is a very elegantly-designed integration of hardware and software which almost...I daresay...makes it fun to measure one's blood pressure(!) I don't use HealthKit much, but I haven't had an issue exporting/integrating my data to it. Otoh, I haven't been able to share my data via email, but I don't have the urgency to figure out why it's not working.
