I even asked Apple Chat Support, but they didn't know either. Well, the verdict is in! Thankfully, it paired just fine with my Windows 7 Lenovo ThinkPad. Also, I really like the type feel. Hopefully, this review will be helpful for anyone who is on the fence and needs it for a work PC in addition to their Mac.

I use an iPad most of the time at work, and I'm very used to typing on a flat surface, and I wanted a keyboard that felt more like that. I was able to play around with the new Macbook in an Apple Store and fell in love with the keyboard, but I couldn't afford the price tag or the smaller screen size. This keyboard is exactly what I wanted to fill the gap. The smaller keys are not quite as flat as the Macbook, but they are still more stable and easier to push. My typing accuracy has increased tremendously since I purchased this keyboard. If you like big keys that make an audible click, this is not the keyboard to you. Having full size function keys is also very nice, and helps when I'm trying to pause iTunes. The new arrow keys are very different, and have required a little getting used to. I keep having to look down at them to make sure that my fingers are on the correct keys. I'm sure this will pass with time and more use. Overall, the Magic Keyboard is a great device if you are looking for a new keyboard for a desktop Mac, but may not be worth it if you are already completely satisfied with your current keyboard.

I had my doubts given how flat the keyboard and the keys are, but I'm finding that the Magic Keyboard is a nice upgrade to the original keyboard, which was great. You just have to learn to minimize your strokes and movements, so there is a bit of a learning curve. The action is very nice and the keys are very responsive. Excellent job, Apple. I think my productivity is going to improve with this new keyboard and the Magic Trackpad, which I also am digging!

There's a lot of mixed reviews on here, and it makes sense. A keyboard is something used heavily in computing. Everyone has a different type that works for them. Some of us like flatter keys, some of us love mechanical, some of us enjoy chiclets. If you enjoy big flat keys with little travel distance and don't mind a smaller keyboard, no num pad and so on, you might enjoy this. It pairs with my Mac wonderfully and instantly unlike most other bluetooth keyboard I have used over the years. Also pairs easily with Windows, Linux and TV box machines like the Apple TV 4 and others. If you're a fan of a larger keyboard, deeper key travel and so on, this might not be for you at all. If you're like me and enjoy a keyboard of this particular type, you might really enjoy this. Unsure? Give it a try out. You might just find a new favorite.

I needed a keyboard that I could use w/ my iPad just in case I needed to use Microsoft Word since I can't bring my laptop anywhere anymore. By surprise, I found out that it was also compatible wi/ my laptop even though it's a Dell & runs Windows 10 (minus the use of f keys) so this is also a plus for me! I really appreciate how portable this keyboard is; it's very light, doesn't add too much weight & it's not bulky. I also like the fact that this things battery lass FOREVER!!!! I had this thing for almost 4 days & it's still on 100% since then; I'm thoroughly impressed! IThe only issue that I've encountered thus far is that I have to hit "forget device" then reconnect every time I try to use my computer that's now plugged in via HDMI or when I'm trying to connect to my iPad. It's a minor inconvenience, but I can deal w/ that; I'm glad I made the purchase.

      Give It Some Time

I don't normally write product reviews, but after seeing the negative reviews about this keyboard I felt I should chime in. This keyboard is great, but takes I don't normally write product reviews, but after seeing the negative reviews about this keyboard I felt I should chime in. This keyboard is great, but takes some getting used to. The key action is very shallow, crisp, and precise. If you are used to mashing, pushing, or pressing on keys, you will have to adjust your technique so that you are lightly tapping on the keys. Once you do that, you'll find that you can type faster with less effort. After typing on this keyboard for a while, my old MacBook Pro keyboard now feels mushy and soft - I don't know how I was ever satisfied with it before. I suspect that the people who don't like this keyboard are used to, and happy with, a different type of key action, and are not interested in changing their typing habits - which is totally understandable. But if you are interested in trying something new, and you are willing to give yourself some time to adjust, I think you will find it is well worth it.
