Redesigned. Rechargeable. Remarkable.

  • Overview

The Magic Keyboard combines a sleek new design with a built-in rechargeable battery and enhanced key features. With an improved scissor mechanism beneath each key for increased stability, as well as optimized key travel and a lower profile, the Magic Keyboard provides a remarkably comfortable and precise typing experience. It pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away. And the battery is incredibly long-lasting — it will power your keyboard for about a month or more between charges.

      WORKS ON PC RUNNING WINDOWS!

I even asked Apple Chat Support, but they didn't know either. Well, the verdict is in! Thankfully, it paired just fine with my Windows 7 Lenovo ThinkPad. Also, I really like the type feel. Hopefully, this review will be helpful for anyone who is on the fence and needs it for a work PC in addition to their Mac.

I use an iPad most of the time at work, and I'm very used to typing on a flat surface, and I wanted a keyboard that felt more like that. I was able to play around with the new Macbook in an Apple Store and fell in love with the keyboard, but I couldn't afford the price tag or the smaller screen size. This keyboard is exactly what I wanted to fill the gap. The smaller keys are not quite as flat as the Macbook, but they are still more stable and easier to push. My typing accuracy has increased tremendously since I purchased this keyboard. If you like big keys that make an audible click, this is not the keyboard to you. Having full size function keys is also very nice, and helps when I'm trying to pause iTunes. The new arrow keys are very different, and have required a little getting used to. I keep having to look down at them to make sure that my fingers are on the correct keys. I'm sure this will pass with time and more use. Overall, the Magic Keyboard is a great device if you are looking for a new keyboard for a desktop Mac, but may not be worth it if you are already completely satisfied with your current keyboard.

I had my doubts given how flat the keyboard and the keys are, but I'm finding that the Magic Keyboard is a nice upgrade to the original keyboard, which was great. You just have to learn to minimize your strokes and movements, so there is a bit of a learning curve. The action is very nice and the keys are very responsive. Excellent job, Apple. I think my productivity is going to improve with this new keyboard and the Magic Trackpad, which I also am digging!

      Disappointing

I'm typing this review by using my MacBook Pro 15"'s keyboard because I no longer can abide the Magic Keyboard, which has keys too small and too closely spaced. I'm typing this review by using my MacBook Pro 15"'s keyboard because I no longer can abide the Magic Keyboard, which has keys too small and too closely spaced. My hands are medium sized, but even so, I make so many errors when I use the Magic Keyboard. For someone with small hands, such as a child, the Magic Keyboard may be suitable. I regret buying this Apple product; I do like the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad - English (USA), which is half the price and twice as useful.

Best keyboard ever, it feels so relaxing to type compared to the last one

Not having to change batteries is also a big benefit, because as an Apple user, I have lightning cables everywhere.

      Not worth $100

Imagine my shock to find that this was the only keyboard in the MAC store. Rechargeable battery with warranty on the keyboard of one year. Once the battery goes you will need to replace the whole keyboard. Somebody at Apple needs to think about cost and not think that the customers are only into the look of the keyboard. I am: Seriously disappointed MAC user of twenty years.
