  • Overview

Thin, light and easy to grip — this case lets you enjoy the look of iPhone XR while providing extra protection. It’s also crafted with a blend of optically clear polycarbonate and flexible TPU materials, so the case fits right over the buttons for easy use. On the surface, a scratch-resistant coating has been applied not only to the exterior, but also to the interior. Need to wirelessly charge? Just leave the case on your iPhone and set it on your Qi charger.

Leaves terrible 'contact patches' completely spoiling the look of the phone

The case itself looks robust and protective, and to that end it is quite stiff and very hard to get on, even harder to get off.... like REALLY REALLY hard! We accepted this, but the nail in the coffin is the horrible, horrible 'contact patch' clearly visible where the case makes contact with a central area of the back of the iPhone. On our white iPhones this leaves a horrible dark grey patch in appearance like a bad bruise. This is not moisture or dirt but simply the contact of the TPU case material on the glass-backed iPhone. We even took them off and refitted being super careful not to touch any part of the back of the iPhone or case, but to no avail. For SUCH an expensive (£45!) case we would have expected Apple to have tested this out and reached their own conclusions that this is clearly unsuitable to sell as a product, unless you really don't care how your iPhone looks. We are very frustrated Apple only sell this case and a couple of Otterbox cases for the XR, whereas the XS has hundred of official Apple cases in various colours and finishes. Come on Apple, give XR customers some options also! As it stands we do NOT recommend this case at all for any iPhone XRs. AVOID!

I definitely would not recommend this case to use with your XR. There are better ones around and at better price too.

It's too slippery in hand, causing constant anxiety it might fall when removing from a pocket or bag, and that's with the very deliberate extra gripping (compared to silicone) it demands. The volume buttons are also much too stiff. Aesthetics have definitely taken priority of ergonomics here. Apple, please launch a silicone case for the XR!

I agree with everything said in previous reviews and wish I had read them before buying this case. I have actually ended up picking my new phone up with two hands for fear of it slipping out of my hand. Using this case makes my hand clammy for fear of dropping the phone which causes greasy marks to appear all over the case.

Awful case... avoid at all cost : (

It definitely protects I needed to buy a case when I first purchased the phone so decided to buy the only official Apple case that the store had...big mistake! It definitely protects the phone well , so I can't criticise it for that...but in all other aspects its a total fail...it makes the phone feel slippery in you hand and starts to feel really greasy very quickly, so you'll probably drop the phone more than you'd expect to...it also develops really annoying bubbles (like a badly applied screen protector) which just makes it look cheap...a very badly designed official product...why can't they release an official leather case for this phone ? BTW , I would've given this product zero stars , but I wasn't able to....

I had got my phone from new and by the end of the day it was covered in a half dozen scratches. A few weeks later and I might as well have rubbed it on concrete. 2) The clear design shows off all the dust that seems to get trapped between the cover and the phone. So your nice new phone looks like it’s scratched and dusty, rather than showing off the phone at all.
