      REALLY. Still no replacement tips!

      Yes this is the best stylus ever made, no doubt about it. But having no ability to replace a seven cents piece of plastic at the end of the stylus is more than Yes this is the best stylus ever made, no doubt about it. But having no ability to replace a seven cents piece of plastic at the end of the stylus is more than just a little frustrating. I love my new iPad Pro, but for me without the pencil it is not one stitch more useful than my three-year-old iPad. I bought the pencil, which wasn't easy as everyone will remember, but now having lost one tip, and gone through the other, I have $1400 worth of technology that is next to useless because I cannot buy a new tip, which would likely be seven cents worth of material, which I would still happily buy for Apples hugh markup... $10????... If replacement TIPS WERE ONLY AVAILABLE... This so atypical for Apple.... it just makes me sick with frustration! Please Apple..MARKET REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS OR ALLOW OTHERS TO DO IT!!! I have spent too much time and money on your products to be treated so poorly.

      It's sketchy...but don't DARE drop it.

      I love the way the pencil works as a drawing tool and it's as good if not better than any Wacom product (5 stars for that). When you bear down it can get confus I love the way the pencil works as a drawing tool and it's as good if not better than any Wacom product (5 stars for that). When you bear down it can get confused and flash it's edge shading tool. I got mine in 3 weeks. The cylindrical industrial design promotes breakage as every other #2 pencil in the world is faceted so as not to roll off a desk. No eraser as on Wacom and 53. Lots of changing tools. Mine fell from my pants pocket to the ground (3 feet) and the tip bent and it would not draw properly. I changed the tip and now it works better, but still has sensing issues. Dropping a computer is a rarity, but dropping a pencil is pretty commonplace. Seems too precious for long term everyday use. How can you reinvent a 99 cent pencil into a $99. pencil and have it be this fragile? (2 star deduction.) It falls nose down with all the electronics inside so I was toast. It's also about an inch longer than the average pen so it seems awkward in a shirt pocket, thus flipping out of my side pant pocket. Be careful not to lose the chicklet sized adapter that allows it it be charged by cord. No means of attaching it to the case. Samsung buried theirs in the device. When it works I love it and the software can only get better. Great pencil, just don't drop it..

The execution, not so much. For it's precision, I like the small diameter tip on the pencil. However, it would be nice if an alternate tip with a slightly softer material was available. The tap-tap-tap on my iPad Pro screen becomes very loud at night when you are next to your sleeping spouse. For me, the body is too hard and slick to provide a comfortable secure grip, especially when combined with the natural oils exuded from your skin over time. A slightly larger diameter or a semi-hexagonal shape would be more useful, and/or the addition of a removable textured silicone sleeve for those with a weaker grip. Just because you can cram the electronics into a small tube the size of a #2 pencil doesn't mean you should do so. The round body and too-weak magnetic attraction of the single metal ring located near the cap prevents secure temporary storage on the Smart Cover - a very convenient resting space since no other means of docking/storage on the iPad is provided. If the body had squared-off sides, and/or there was a 2nd magnetic ring near the stylus tip the adhesion to the Smart Cover would be much more secure. With the variety of small parts that come with the pencil a small pocket-sized storage case for the adapter, the spare stylus tip, and the pencil cap (when charging) would have been a nice addition to the package.

I am a hardcore professional artist Quick Summary: IF YOU ARE NOT AN ARTIST DO NOT GET THIS PENCIL, IT WILL BE A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY. IT IS MADE FOR DRAWING. I am a hardcore professional artist, and I have been looking for an alternative to a Cintiq for a while, since I'm always on the go and I need something small. My old 4th gen iPad broke so I jumped at the idea of the Pro and Pencil. I've been using it for a bit, and so far it is very nice. The sensitivity and tilt functions are comparable to that of a Wacom Intuos 4, though you get less of a paper feel since it is hard plastic writing on glass. It feels like Apple's version of a mini, portable Cintiq if you use it with Procreate or related high-end drawing apps. I really enjoy it and have done quite a few lovely sketches. Pros: attractive simplistic design, charges quickly, portable, decently sturdy, VERY good drawing function (definitely superior to a Bamboo tablet), and you get to draw directly on the screen, so it feels very much like a miniature Cintiq. Cons: The pen is made of hard, smooth plastic, so unless you want it to slip out of your fingers, put a rubber gripper on it. ***The pen will NOT function correctly if the nib at the drawing end isn't screwed on tightly. I found this out the hard way. Compared to a Wacom pen it is a little heavy and non-ergonomic, since design came over functionality. So far I have not had a problem with losing pen tips or the cover to the charger, since I am incredibly neat and tidy (but it is still a problem I hear other people having). Final impression: If and only if you are an artist will this stylus be worth your money.

      I bought this pencil thinking, wow what a great idea. BUT I was rudely disappointed with how much of a piece of junk this is. It is just a fancy styalis for 100 I bought this pencil thinking, wow what a great idea. BUT I was rudely disappointed with how much of a piece of junk this is. It is just a fancy styalis for 100 dollars. In my opinion it is worth 50 dollars at the most. Like common sense here Apple, you guys made a pencil out of plastic where the tip breaks with around 30 uses for me. Along with that there is no replacement items at all. I love your guys computers, I'm using one right now I also have an iPhone, and I love them but this is junk. All in All I through 100 dollars away on a piece of plastic that had a few wires in it and some cheap aluminum..... Thank you

      Unbelivable. It's just like writing on a pice of paper. In addition, it gets fully charged really fast and has an excellent battery life. Undoubtedly, the bes Unbelivable.
