      REALLY. Still no replacement tips!

But having no ability to replace a seven cents piece of plastic at the end of the stylus is more than just a little frustrating. I love my new iPad Pro, but for me without the pencil it is not one stitch more useful than my three-year-old iPad. I bought the pencil, which wasn't easy as everyone will remember, but now having lost one tip, and gone through the other, I have $1400 worth of technology that is next to useless because I cannot buy a new tip, which would likely be seven cents worth of material, which I would still happily buy for Apples hugh markup... $10????... If replacement TIPS WERE ONLY AVAILABLE... This so atypical for Apple.... it just makes me sick with frustration! Please Apple..MARKET REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS OR ALLOW OTHERS TO DO IT!!! I have spent too much time and money on your products to be treated so poorly.

The execution, not so much. For it's precision, I like the small diameter tip on the pencil. However, it would be nice if an alternate tip with a slightly softer material was available. The tap-tap-tap on my iPad Pro screen becomes very loud at night when you are next to your sleeping spouse. For me, the body is too hard and slick to provide a comfortable secure grip, especially when combined with the natural oils exuded from your skin over time. A slightly larger diameter or a semi-hexagonal shape would be more useful, and/or the addition of a removable textured silicone sleeve for those with a weaker grip. Just because you can cram the electronics into a small tube the size of a #2 pencil doesn't mean you should do so. The round body and too-weak magnetic attraction of the single metal ring located near the cap prevents secure temporary storage on the Smart Cover - a very convenient resting space since no other means of docking/storage on the iPad is provided. If the body had squared-off sides, and/or there was a 2nd magnetic ring near the stylus tip the adhesion to the Smart Cover would be much more secure. With the variety of small parts that come with the pencil a small pocket-sized storage case for the adapter, the spare stylus tip, and the pencil cap (when charging) would have been a nice addition to the package.

The Pro and the pencil work beautifully together allowing you to do more then just draw. The Apple Pencil gives you the control and precision needed for detailed projects and most of the drawing apps have been updated to support the pro/pencil together. It's addicting and hard to put down!

FRAGILE Two pencils broken in only FOUR months

The honest truth is that these pencils are made to be looked at, not used, not touched. Put it in a glass display case and show your friends the bright white terror that has me so frustrated at this point that I cannot possibly carry on buying Apple products. $2500 worth of Apple products in this years first quarter just for leisure devices and I'm stuck with nothing in return other the gut wrenching fact that I have a third pencil to purchase. That's $300 worth of pencil, which almost translates into $100 month to use my iPad Pro. I'm so upset that I lm literally considering putting all of my Apple stuff into the dumpster because I hate being reminded of the scam I've experienced with the Apple Pencil. The pencils were damaged by 1.) a fall from desk onto my office floor. Completely wiped it out instantly. 2.) A small kitten jumped onto my couch and nibbled on the pen leaving a couple very light markings that have caused the pen to malfunctions and it will not even start to function. Since these are technically not apples fault I'm left with the most expensive fragile junk plastic I've ever bought. Finished with this company as quickly as they first earned my business.

It does have good battery life which is a nice perk. The biggest problem I have faced is it is very expensive for what you get and does not even have a way to fasten it to a shirt pocket or anything else for that matter. It is almost like they were planning for it to be lost quickly. The cap on the top is totally non functional and again a good item to get lost in a hurry. The components seem well designed but the overall function of it as far as day to day use seems to have escaped its engineers. I had to go to a third party to get something to attach it to my iPad Pro. Ridiculous that a almost 100 bucks there is no decent way to keep the iPad Pro and this item together. Seems like for the cost the iPad Pro should have some dock built in for charging and storage in my opinion. Perhaps 2.0 will get it right. My advice to Apple put a clip on it first of all so it does not want to roll off the desk.

I have taken many notes for work using the Pencil, and never had a problem. The downsides of this pencil is, (I) it is to long, so it cannot fit into my shirt pocket, (II) lacks clip to attach it to the Smart Cover or simply shirt. Oh, in case there's some of you who doesn't know, if you are charging the Pencil, you can put the cap in the iPad's body, precisely above the speaker grill. The cap will simply stick there, avoiding the chances it would get lost while charging.
