Is not compatible with in-line microphones

This is not a solution to Apple's removal of the headphone jack for people who use wired headphones with in-line microphones to make phone calls. Massive disapp This is not a solution to Apple's removal of the headphone jack for people who use wired headphones with in-line microphones to make phone calls. Massive disappointment, Apple thoroughly misled on this product's ability to retain the functionality that they removed from the iPhone with the launch of the 7.

Works fine with earphones, not 3rd party remote mic

I am very dissatisfied with this adaptor. Doesn't work with any third party remote. Hence cannot use my sennheiser in ear remote and mic to skip songs , use S I am very dissatisfied with this adaptor. Doesn't work with any third party remote. Hence cannot use my sennheiser in ear remote and mic to skip songs , use Siri etc

Horrible decision and design

I am really disappointed in Apple in removing the headphone jack and making people use this.My iPhone 7 now has a constant tail. I use different headphones depe I am really disappointed in Apple in removing the headphone jack and making people use this.My iPhone 7 now has a constant tail. I use different headphones depending on what I'm doing. I constantly have to switch headphones and so I can't leave the dongle on any one pair. It has to stay with the iPhone. Sometimes the dongle works and sometimes it doesn't. Have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work sometimes. It is a real pain. I should have stuck to the iPhone 6. I can't wait until a case comes out with a headphone jack in it.

Works well for me, but how about a version in black?

I haven't had any issues with this adapter since I received it with my new 7+, with the only exception being the one day I forgot it. My in-line mic and buttons I haven't had any issues with this adapter since I received it with my new 7+, with the only exception being the one day I forgot it. My in-line mic and buttons have always worked, but I have found that sometimes I need to plug the adapter in prior to plugging the headphones into it. On another note, I have been saying that black cables should come with the black phones, or at least be purchasable in a black version separately. My 7+ is the matte black, so this white adapter looks a little silly IMO.

There is what I would call a design flaw. Normally you would expect to stick this lighting adapter onto the headphones and plug, and when using them just plug t There is what I would call a design flaw. Normally you would expect to stick this lighting adapter onto the headphones and plug, and when using them just plug them into the iphone. This works well if you are using ONLY the headphones. The in-line mic and remote will not function. ****THE TIP**** Unplug the adapter from the headset. First plug the lightening adapter into the iPhone. Then plug the headphones into the 3.5mm plug. Voila. Your mic and remote will now work. Its counter intuitive but at least it works!!! (the crowd goes wild)

I have a pair of Klipsch earbuds that I love, and while I'm able to use the buttons on the mic for m I have a pair of Klipsch earbuds that I love, and while I'm able to use the buttons on the mic for music and volume controls, it is now completely useless for phone calls. I can't believe this, and would absolutely take my phone back if the Apple Upgrade program allowed me to do so and get my old phone back.
