Returns: Step-by-Step

If you change your mind, you can return your standard or configure-to-order hardware to us within 14 calendar days of delivery. If your item(s) was originally delivered to a Pick-up Point, you can return your order to us within 14 calendar days of collecting your item(s). Software returns are also accepted within this period, but only if the software was not unsealed. This option is in addition to your consumer rights to return defective products under Australian consumer law. Drop-off
Step 1:

Returns can be arranged via our Order Status website.

Alternatively, you can contact Apple Store Customer Service to make arrangements for your return.

In each case, be sure to have your Web Order Number available.

Step 2:

Once your return request is arranged:

Returns can be dropped off at any Pick-up Point location by printing a return label at that location. Repackage the item(s) and take it to a convenient Pick-up Point within seven days. When you get there, give your Return Number to the provider to have the label printed.

Collections
Step 1:

Alternatively, you can contact Apple Store Customer Service to make arrangements for your return.

In each case, be sure to have your Web Order Number available.

Step 2:

Once your return request is arranged:

  • You’ll receive an email confirmation with your return details. Our carrier will contact you within two business days to arrange collection. Please use the original packaging.
  • Once we receive the item(s) we’ll process the return, issue a refund, and send you a return receipt confirmation email.

How long does it take to process my refund?

Once we receive your item, a refund is initiated immediately. If you cancelled a pickup item, and you were billed for it, we initiate your refund immediately after you submit your cancellation request. The way your refund is processed depends on your original payment method:

If you paid by credit or debit card, refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within five business days of receipt of the returned item or cancellation request. Please contact the card-issuing bank with questions about when the credit will be transferred to your account.
Products purchased from the Apple Online Store using an Apple Store Gift Card will be refunded to you as an Apple Store Gift Card by email. If you’d like us to send you an Apple Store Gift Card, ask the representative helping you.
