My Mac keeps asking me to update my operating system but won't let me when I try. It is currently running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. I'm thinking I might not have enough memory to handle any operating system beyond Yosemite. Could this possibly be true?...

Install and set up Remote Desktop To use Remote Desktop, your administrator and client computers must meet these requirements: Mac computers must be running OS X 10.10.5 or later. Mac client computers must have version 3.6 or later of the Remote Desktop client software for full control. Although you may be able to control and observe Mac computers using earlier versions of the Remote Desktop client software, you can’t generate reports or execute remote commands. I am currently using a macbook pro, mid 2012 that runs on OS X Yosemite, 10.10.5. Whenever I try to download anything from the app store, it tells me to sign up, and when I do it says that my Apple ID or password is incorrect. I have reset the password for my Apple ID multiple times and have used this same Apple ID and never had problems with it until now. Ive logged out of my Apple ID and have signed back in multiple times as well, I don't know what else to do from here....

Hi there, I am trying to update the macOS of my Macbook to Monterey, but am having issues, I think partly because it is still on a really old version (Yosemite 10.10.5). This Macbook has had little use up until recently which is why it hasn't been updated for so long. It apparently will need 44GB free to install the update, but only has 31GB free after clearing out everything possible. There are no photos stored on the Macbook that I can see, but it says that 39.27GB is taken up by photos...

I made the mistake of updating from Yosemite 10.10.5 to Catalina 10.15.7 only to find that one of my most critical apps for my Epson Photoscanner V300 no longer works for slides and negatives. I desperately want to go back to Yosemite. I had been doing backups with Time Machine and did one just prior to starting the "upgrade". After discovering I wanted to go back, I rebooted in recovery mode and said I wanted to restore from a Time Machine Backup. It found the last backup I did on Saturday...
