I have been trying to connect a 4k Apple TV to a receiver and then out to a projector. I have connected via HDMI cable the Apple TV 4K to a Pioneer 1080p receiver . Then via HDMI on the receiver out to my Epson Projector. The projector receives NO signal at all from Apple TV. However, if I plug the Apple TV directly into the projector (via HDMI) it works fine. And also if I plug the Apple TV directly into a TV HDMI input it works fine. It is ONLY when I connect Apple TV to Receiver ...
I recently bought an Apple TV 4K primarily to play Apple Music through my AV system. I find that it goes on standby, no sound or video, whenever the TV is turned off (even though the TV is doing nothing but showing screensaver).
