I honestly think Apple doesn't make a durable cord so that they can make more money. I'm very disappointed and considering all of the other cell phone options now available I will be looking into them. I never had to purchase additional power cords with other branded phones. Very disappointed!

      Apple, do you care?

Dear Apple, Do you know why I am on your website? No? It's ok, I'll tell you. I am ordering yet another cable. Why oh why is this still an issue? Wrap some ha Dear Apple, Do you know why I am on your website? No? It's ok, I'll tell you. I am ordering yet another cable. Why oh why is this still an issue? Wrap some hard cable, electrical, tape, heck-even some duct tape around those cables! You have the best and brightest creators but seriously, they aren't working on the cables. You can't promote the best phones and sell them with less than stellar cables. Well, I guess you can and you are....and people like me have to keep buying them. Yes, I know you say I can send them back if they are under warranty. I shouldn't have to! Please, I'm begging you....fix this!

      Poor quality

I bought the cable in January and we are now in September (9 mouth) and it does work anymore. It looks perfectly okay but when I plug it nothing happens. But that quickly goes away once you're outside of their warranty period. It mysteriously knots up at the top and the rubber casing rips all within a year. After a year, there also is a delay for the charging to begin. Stick with your $6 cords on Amazon. You're going to need to repurchase just as often.

      Really!!

My first negative review of an apple product. Just bought a second iPad Pro. I like mine so much I got one for my son to start high school. It is fantastic, ho My first negative review of an apple product. Just bought a second iPad Pro. I like mine so much I got one for my son to start high school. It is fantastic, however we can't get a lighting cord in my house to charge it!!! Everyone knows lightning cables are horrendous. Nothing is better than finding a iPad you left charging for hours completely out of battery... The argument made for this is the cord doesn't last forever ... But this cord is two weeks old my other one is 9 months old. So really apple? This is basic stuff the product has to change... The first generation worked better perhaps these miniscule male ends just are not holding up. This is a case where bigger is better. Maybe you are getting rid of it altogether... In the meantime do the right thing 29 dollars for a cord that is not going to last a few months is an outrage. Admit the thing is awful and provide them at cost... Or a a little more like 50 cents.
