Don't listen to the haters....This is a fantastic "keyboard"

Love at first use. This keyboard is amazing. Yes, it does only cover the front, but so what. Yes, there is no holder for the pencil, but, so what. Yes, the Love at first use. This keyboard is amazing. Yes, it does only cover the front, but so what. Yes, there is no holder for the pencil, but, so what. Yes, there may be some functionality glitches, but again, so what. This Smart "KEYBOARD" for iPad Pro rocks. Apple only promised us a keyboard, and that's what this is. The whiners probably shake their birthday cards for money before they read them, so sad. This is by far the best peripheral keyboard I've ever used in terms of feel and accuracy. Oh, and the feel/look of the materials/design is far from cheap, as mentioned in some other reviews. They nailed it, AGAIN!! Thanks Apple. Bottom Line - Drop the coin and don't look back. This keyboard will transform your iPad Pro into a monster of mayhem.(in a good way). Cheers!!

I make virtually no typing errors on it, and it's proximity to the display makes the combination of a keyboard and the touch screen really work. With my other iPads, I used several aftermarket keyboards and typically abandoned them in a short time. I love this one, and hope that the shortcomings will be resolved soon in software.

      Best keyboard experience

The keyboard might seem a bit on the higher end when it comes to the price, but then it is a pleasure to use. Based on my past experience with Logitech keyboards, I was a bit sceptical in using a keyboard at first but so far have not been disappointed. The quality is excellent, the keyboard works and integrates well with the iPadPro. Some people might want a trackpad - but given it is an iPad, you really do not need any. I recommend to get an Apple Pencil as well.

Just about as good as you could get

It's durable, I don't really notice the weight when I'm holding the ipad with the cover folded up. I would have preferred a little more of an Apple keyboard It's durable, I don't really notice the weight when I'm holding the ipad with the cover folded up. I would have preferred a little more of an Apple keyboard asethetic to the shape of the keys, like the MacBook or Magic Keyboard, flat and square keys. But maybe I just like that look and feel. The keys are a bit textured, like the texture of fabric but in plastic, not smooth. The action feels very nice, much closer to the feel of pressing normal keyboard keys than you'd expect from something that is this thin. It doesn't feel like pressing a plastic bubble, there seems to be a separate key under the surface that is pressed down, which makes it feel very much like a normal keyboard. When I lie down with the iPad and keyboard on my lap (on a lap desk), the screen is angled more away from me than I'd like, but if you were using it on a table and sitting upright then it would probably be angled just right, which is probably what they were going for. It's very much lighter than my MacBook Pro, and there are no issues with heating up your lap. Overall it makes the iPad seem enough like a laptop that I find myself instinctively reaching for a mouse. But using your fingers isn't bad of course. It is a bit expensive. But I like it, and I'm glad I purchased it, and it does make the iPad usable for more things than it would otherwise be. I think I prefer this to a separate bluetooth keyboard as well, partly because it's self-contained and attached to the iPad.

      ! Keyboard is genius....

Recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 to act as a light weight laptop replacement for 13 inch MBPr that I gave to my sister. First, I tried the Otterbox Symmetry Recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 to act as a light weight laptop replacement for 13 inch MBPr that I gave to my sister. First, I tried the Otterbox Symmetry case with a Bluetooth apple keyboard. The Symmetry is a beautiful case; and really does protect the iPad from bumps and scratches. But I soon realized that I really wanted the keyboard attached in some way to the iPad. Secondly, I tried the Brydge 12.9 Pro keyboard. I loved how the Brydge keyboard looks so similar to an MBP keyboard. The Brydge has some issues. First, the bluetooth connectivity was spotty; secondly, the keyboard did not fit with the Symmetry or the Apple Silicone Case. Leaving the IPad Pro naked. Further, the combination of the IPad Pro and the Brydge made the combination seemingly heavier than the MBP. In addition, the iPad Pro was too heavy for the keyboard's hinges causing the iPad to fall flat while in use. Finally, after watching several YouTube videos I decided to try the Smart Keyboard with the Silicone case (still wanting as much protection for the iPad Pro as possible). Result? This review is being written using the iPad Pro 12.9 and its companion Smart Keyboard. The whole setup is on my lap while laying on the couch watching a movie. Wow. The iPad Pro finally feels like a true productivity tool. I love that the keyboard can double as a presentation stand, Smart Cover, and of course, typing. And all without getting uncomfortably warm/hot like the MBPr. And the keys make sounds while typing. Oh, and did I mention that the whole setup is soooo light weight?!. Looking forward to taking this to meetings and working while on the road; while sitting up in bed; on the sofa, car.....you get the idea! Thanks Apple.

The keyboard is garbage---and let me tell you why

When you first buy the keyboard, you will love it. Look at all these 5-star reviews that are recent. They have not had the keyboard long. This keyboard does When you first buy the keyboard, you will love it. Look at all these 5-star reviews that are recent. They have not had the keyboard long. This keyboard does not last more than 6 months. I have had had 2. Both failed in the same time frame. First the numbers begin fading, then you start getting "not compatible accessory", and then sporadic connection issues where the keyboard does not respond. I am very familiar with this keyboard. Go ahead an buy it. You will replace it in 6 months. Look at this as a $25 monthly payment to Apple once you amortize the cost of the keyboard over the 6 months. Look at it like a "keyboard service" they are offering you. Yay! I have not tried other keyboards from other manufacturers. I ended up buying a MS Surface to replace this and using this very expensive iPad Pro to play games. It is not useful for business. Don't do it. I have every Apple product made and as a result of this keyboard I now detest this company for bamboozling me into a product that they know is garbage.
