    Explore how to create history by preserving your stories with the archiving initiative Sixty Inches From Center. As part of Black History Month, Tempestt Hazel and Noor Shawaf from Sixty will talk with archivists Stacie Williams and Steven D. Booth about ways to preserve and present Black history. You’ll start your personal archive using iPhone, iPad, and Apple Pencil.

    Founder, Writer, and Curator

    Tempestt Hazel founded Sixty Inches From Center, a publication and archiving initiative that documents art in the Midwest. The Society of American Archivists gave her the Archival Advocacy Award.

    Director

    Stacie Williams is the director for the Center for Digital Scholarship at the University of Chicago Libraries. In 2018, she released her first book, Bizarro Worlds, a bibliomemoir about race and gentrification.
