iPhone XS Max Smart Battery Case - Black

  • Overview

Engineered for iPhone XS Max, the Smart Battery Case gives you even longer battery life while offering great protection. Inside, a soft microfiber lining helps protect your iPhone. And on the outside, the silky, soft-touch finish of the silicone exterior feels great in your hand. A soft elastomer hinge design makes it easy to put the case on and take it off.

The Smart Battery Case is compatible with Qi-certified chargers. You can charge your iPhone and battery case simultaneously for increased talk time up to 37 hours, Internet use up to 20 hours, and even longer audio and video playback.* With the Smart Battery Case on, the intelligent battery status is displayed on the iPhone Lock screen and in Notification Center, so you know exactly how much charge you have left.

The case can be charged even faster with USB-PD compatible chargers. It also supports Lightning accessories, such as the EarPods with Lightning Connector (included with your iPhone), or the Lightning Digital AV Adapter (sold separately).

The design has improved with speaker and mic holes now aligned with the device, battery that extends towards the bottom, and lack of a “chin” at the bottom. In fact, the position of the battery helps me maintain a better hold on my iPhone. With typical usage, battery life easily lasts more than a day. Though the weight is noticeable, it is as easy to get used to as handling the Plus and Max iPhone models. Wireless charging is definitely a plus, but what stands out most is the *smartness* of the case. It just works!

With this the iPhone XS Max has enough battery for 2 days of usage.

Easy to use- iOS integration is great

Dinged a star because the lock button is a hole instead of a switch on the case. It's a little hard to get to. It's a single piece- the top part is flexible. you bend it back and slide the phone in from the top. The hump is weird in the pictures but feels fine in your hand. Seems to offer the same level of protection as the other silicone cases. The iOS integration is great- when you start the charge it, it shows two battery meters side by side on the lock screen for the phone and the case. When the phone is unlocked, it shows up on the batteries widget as a separate item. Part of docking one start is that iOS doesn't change the battery indicator on the top left for this product- it just looks like my phone is charging when the case is plugged in.

Not up to Apple typical quality.

Constantly charges which isn’t smart. No on and off switch. Stopped working consistently after a couple months.

Worst and most expensive case ever!

I have had this case for 6 months now. It worked really well for the first month or two and after that it consistently disconnects while charging. I have never I have had this case for 6 months now. It worked really well for the first month or two and after that it consistently disconnects while charging. I have never dropped my phone with the case on either. The silicone on the case WILL peel off just from taking out of your pocket constantly. Wireless charging is a feature with this case BUT it is a poor design (or flaw). The case and phone will say it is charging then you wake up in the morning and the case never charged and the phone is almost dead. And yes I did buy my wireless charger from the Apple store so it is a wireless charger recommended by Apple themselves. If I set my phone down on a table or any surface I get an error message that says "Unlock iPhone to use accessories". I haven't bothered to take my case into apple since they will probably tell me to "kick sand/rocks". I would never consider or recommend this case to anyone specially for the price. $129!!! that's insane, and yes I'm the idiot that bought it but hey; trial and error. I just hope someone will learn from my mistake. If you desperately need a battery case I would use Mophie. I have had them in the past and never had a problem with them (they are amazing).
