The Smart Keyboard Folio for the 11-inch iPad Pro is a full-size keyboard when you need it to be, provides elegant front and back protection when you don’t, and allows for convenient viewing angles. And with no charging or pairing required, just attach the keyboard and start typing.

For the reviewer who said there is no place for Apple Pencil it is magnetized and it attaches to the side of the iPad and that will also charge it.

I love that this new keyboard folio adds back protection. This is something I've wanted Apple to bring back to their iPad case line since the 9.7" Pro. I am very worried about the keys scratching the screen up, but I'm trying to remain calm.

This one was hard & sharp edged, offered little protection and fell out of the cover a couple of times in only a few day. The trade off for a physical keyboard was not worth the terrible annoyance every time I used it to simply hold and read! I bought the otter box and will wait for the Logitech keyboard cover to be released (soon I hope!). Apple really missed the mark on this one!

      Battery Backup

One curiosity: Given the thickness/weight, behind the keypad where the iPad Pro III magnetically rests, seems like a good place for backup batteries (think Mophie), instead of thick support plastic. I presume there are battery dangers preempting the idea, but it was one of my first thoughts when I opened it... Wow, this is thick, does this thing actually have batteries to extend the battery life of the iPad when connected? Certainly didn’t see it in the description when I purchased it, but given the thickness behind the keypad, thought I may have accidentally missed that added feature. ...Just sayin’ But, still a very good keyboard and iPad Pro III protector
