It acts as an External Hard Drive to your computer. So, if you can access your computer remotely, t It acts as an External Hard Drive to your computer. So, if you can access your computer remotely, then this would just be another extension of the storage drives on your computer. It's hardwire connected. Does not have wireless capabilities, nor does it connect to your modem/router either.
