The standard size (M/L) is designed to fit a majority of the global adult population. In universal hat sizes, this would be a near equivalent of size Small to XX-Large. This would be a near equivalent of standard US hat size from 6-7/8 to 8, Euro from 55 to 64, UK from 6-3/4 to 7-7/8, and French from 4.0 to 8.5.
The small size (S) is designed to fit the smallest head sizes, a smaller group of the global adult population. In universal hat sizes, this would be a near equivalent of size Child to X-Small. This would be a near equivalent of standard US hat size from 6 to 6-3/4, Euro from 48 to 54, UK 5-7/8 to 6-5/8, and French from 1.0 to 3.5.
