  • Overview

These Apple-designed cases are made from specially tanned and finished European leather for a luxurious feel and are precision crafted by the same designers who create iPhone. The case fits snugly and your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6 still feels incredibly slim, even with the case on. The soft microfiber lining on the inside helps protect your iPhone. And on the outside, you see color that’s more than surface deep, thanks to a dye that’s infused into the leather.

Pros/Cons after 1.5 years of use.

I bought this case for my 6s plus bc I don't like bulky, tacky, plastic, "loud" cases (it's already big and didn't want to increase the size..said no man ever). I bought this case for my 6s plus bc I don't like bulky, tacky, plastic, "loud" cases (it's already big and didn't want to increase the size..said no man ever). I'd prefer not to use a case bc it's like putting a tarp over a beautiful work of art. The leather case is thin, sleek, and tasteful. After a year and a half, here are the pros/cons in my "case". Color: I bought the dark navy a year and a half ago (it looks black so I'm sure the leather wears the same). It darkened as leather does, but since it is dark, I don't have the same complaints as those who bought red or some other lighter color (they look dirty quickly). It may have gotten scratch marks initially (I don't recall it being a problem), but the oils in my hands have richened it over time such that I can't make a scratch mark if I tried. So, dark is best in my opinion. Quality: The leather began peeling away somewhat at the corners after less than a year of use. The corners are now worn down especially at the bottom. At about a year, one bottom corner began to crack and separate as if you could pull the corner back. Now both bottom corners have broken in this way to where one bottom corner is about to completely detach due to catching on things like clothes. Besides being sightly, it's annoying and damaging. Which brings me to protection. Protection: I should replace the case bc it's looking a little janky and snagging clothes, but I refuse to remove it until I find equal or better quality. I'm gentle on everything and the leather has a pretty good grip, but it has offered great protection when I'm clumsy or my drinking problem kicks in. Not a scratch! I've always used speck cases prior, and the leather case lasted longer. I've also broken my screen with a speck case, many times. I'm shocked that this thin, leather case has protected my phone so well. Bottom line, if you plan on replacing your case after a year, and don't mind the cost, go dark.

I have used it since April and it is beginning to show signs of cosmetic wear around the corners. This case works best as a slip-proof attachment for the hand and minimal protection without drastically increasing the size and weight of the case. The Pros: Feels great in the hand and fits the phone perfectly. This case is a great balance of protection without getting in the way of enjoying the slim profile of the phone. The ledge of the case (when looking at the screen) extends about 0.5mm which is just enough to keep the screen from touching the surface of an object when sitting on a table face-down. After the leather broke in, it became even more fitted to the device. I was able to attach a small metal plate to the inside of the case for my magnetic car vent clip to use GPS while driving. The plate fits easily. The Cons: The price is a little too high. It should be priced more appropriately around $30-35. The wear of the leather seems to be the biggest issue with the case. The Apple leather cases I have owned for the 4s and 5s were great and lasted throughout the life-cycle of the phone. However, this case wore twice or three times as quickly especially around the corners. I would like to see more variation in colors for the case.

The volume buttons are less problematic. It's bad enough that I can't recommend the case even though the fit and finish are excellent

Another thing, I think it's not designed for a use: like I understand that I should protect the leather things from the wet conditions, but for a god sake, I don't know what kind of paints were used to paint the leather, but the fact is that the color goes away with the little drop of water and the worst thing - it "paints" the furniture. I will never again buy any leather cases from the Apple.
